About Me

My path is "classically" multidimensional. It starts with my studies: a bachelor's degree in European Studies (more politically focused) was followed by a master's degree in management (as the name suggests) and a master's degree in conflict resolution (socio-economic-politically focused).
What I initially did with it was to pursue a career in corporate communications at German insurer Allianz, both in Munich and in Baltimore, USA. The latter was a stepping stone to my "soulmate city", New York, where I lived for 7 years.
While my first 2 degrees covered interests of mine, it wasn't until my studies in conflict resolution in Israel that I was deeply touched. Having lived there during a period of war I realized that the foundation for peace and collaboration is the will and ability to recognize and heal one's own inner division, upset and conflicts.

This realization was followed by training as a meditation teacher (according to the Buddhist Vipassana tradition) and further training in attachment trauma theory.

In New York, I mediated neighborhood and family conflicts and, together with my mentor and colleague Martin Applebaum, gave lectures and seminars (including at New York Law School and Queens College) on how mindfulness of our own inner life can increase our ability to resolve conflicts.

My vision is to reduce the fear of conflicts and to harness its potential for greater collaboration, creativity, equality, and personal responsibility. I'm convinced that this the foundation on which we create a kind of togetherness in which everyone can unfold and contribute with their own potential.
The more of us turn away from destructive and violent ways of dealing with conflict and develop the ability to address our own internal and external conflicts constructively (i.e., valuable, progressive), the less breeding ground there will be for the many forms of war and oppression from which our global community suffers.

"My vision is to reduce the fear of conflicts and to harness its potential for greater collaboration, creativity, equality, and personal responsibility.”

As humanity, we carry this potential within us and have utilized it for most of our time on this planet. It is therefore also important to me to contribute to changing the narrative that keeps us small and imprisoned (especially that war and violence are supposedly inherent in our human nature).
